President Biden pledged to do all he can to provide federal assistance to Kentucky as he visited to assess damage from flooding that has claimed more than three dozen lives and is the worst in the state’s history.

“I promise you, if it’s legal, we’ll do it, and if it’s not legal, we’ll figure out how to change the law,” Biden said in a meeting with Gov. Andy Beshear (D) and other officials.
