He’s Here! NYC

DT is on his way from LaGuardia Airport, traveling down the FDR Drive to Trump Tower.
It annoys me soooo much that there is so much money being spent to guard this hole of a man…..lives at risk, and big inconvenience to everyone in the city.
He just waddled inside.
It's rush hour and because of him traffic is at a stand-still. Actually it looks like most traffic is moving and most of the onlookers seem to be tourists. LOTS of cops all over. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Taxpayer money.
Arraignment tomorrow. He will be fingerprinted....maybe no mugshot: two reasons why not .... 1. A mugshot requires a special machine and 2. He has talked about using a mugshot for campaign purposes.

After he pleads tomorrow he'll return to FL.
(So happy he'll be leaving......I am seeing The Life of Pi, Wed matinee! Lol)

Re: He’s Here! NYC

The rump faces more than 30 counts related to business fraud,  has been reported, but the indictment remains under seal. He is the first current or former president to face criminal charges in American history.

He will spend Monday night at the Trump Tower, according to a source familiar with his plans. The Secret Service is scheduled to accompany the rump in the early afternoon Tuesday to the district attorney’s office, which is in the same building as the courthouse, where he is expected to be arraigned.

The former president is expected to return to Florida shortly after his court appearance and has scheduled an event that evening to speak publicly.

Re: He’s Here! NYC

Cable networks followed his plane at airports in Florida and New York with video from the air, and a small group of senior campaign aides were joined aboard by his son Eric Trump, who eagerly posted photos of the wall-to-wall coverage from his seat.

The scene was quite different in New York, where Trump will be arraigned Tuesday — facing a judge in the city where he built a national profile in business and entertainment but became deeply unpopular as he moved into politics. Prosecutors say their case against him has nothing to do with politics and have defended the work of Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, who is leading it. City leaders urged calm.

“While there may be some rabble-rousers thinking about coming to our city tomorrow, our message is clear and simple: Control yourselves,” said New York Mayor Eric Adams. “New York City is our home. ... We are the safest large city in America because we respect the rule of law.”

One of Trump’s staunchest defenders in Congress, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, was helping organize a Tuesday morning rally at a park across from the courthouse where Trump will appear, and Mayor Adams took the unusual step of calling her out by name.

“Although we have no specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech, she’s stated she’s coming to town,” Adams said. “While you’re in town, be on your best behavior.”   Lol. I'm liking this mayor more and more!
