hurricane-strength winds as rain soaks New England, Atlantic Canada
Now a post-tropical cyclone, Lee continues to churn 70 mph sustained winds Saturday to parts of southeastern New England and Atlantic Canada, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Coastal flooding and heavy rains are also occurring across the region. The eye of the storm is expected to make landfall later Saturday afternoon.
A tropical storm warning is in effect for some areas.More than 200,000 residents across Maine and Canada’s New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are experiencing power outages.Utility power crews are in the field assessing damages and actively responding to downed utility lines and other damage caused by the storm

Meanwhile in Canada, officials in New Brunswick cautioned residents to prepare for power outages and stock up on food and medication for at least 72 hours as they encouraged people to stay indoors.

We're in New Brunswick and only lost power for 4 hrs. Some residents are still in the dark until Tuesday at least.
