nurses

I'm surprised no one has posted anything about the big hub-bub about the comments the ladies made about the nurse's monolog in the Miss America pagent.  I hadn't seen the pagent but after all the commotion I did find the clip on youtube and Michelle was way off the mark on her comment that the woman "read her emails."  I'm not sure where she was going with that, Ms Johnson (can't remember her first name)  told the story of one of her patients and what it means to be a nurse.  Was it a talent?  I don't know.  It is a nice change up from tap dancers and hula hoopers.  I know that talent portion is to show that the contestent is a well rounded person, but it's kind of outdated.  But I digress, the reason I'm posting this is because I think people got really upset over nothing.  NO ONE said that nurses don't work hard, or weren't important.  They are comedians.  Michelle made a bad joke.  That's all it is. And now companies are so afraid of being "politically correct" that they've pulled advertising from the show!   Miss Colorado seems like a lovely woman and I haven't heard her speak badly about the View (maybe I missed it if I did) but Michelle would have had a better joke if she would have mentioned that the same contestant thinks Ellen DeGeneris should be the first woman on our currancy!  From what I saw of Miss Colorado--I like her and I think she has a sense of humor.  Maybe they should have her on the show
