Shiny here! I was shinyyellowmonkey on the old View board, on the ill-fated temporary board, and now here for good I hope. I live in Niagara Falls, Canada and I am a high school teacher currently on parental leave.

I live near Chicago in NW Indiana. I too am an animal lover.

I am so happy that we have a new place to discuss politics without fear of being attacked or being banned. Thanks again shiny for creating this forum.

Hi SEC...

I am Spunky...Have always been called spunky by my family and friends...Had to have spunk being the youngest of 7 children...had to fight my much older siblings just to be able to finish a meal in peace..they claimed I didn't look hungry....lol

I have been a member of the view mb for many years....was never banned and was finally banned from that other crazy mb because ...I asked...won't go into it again.

Love this new mb where everone is welcome.....

BTW...you are lovely!

Hi everyone

SEC here!! I have been different versions of that name on the old View MB & was never allowed on the refugee board...Boo Hoo!!!

I live outside of Atlanta & three years ago took an indefinite leave from my jobs to care for my baby sister who was battling cancer..I have recently made the decision to turn the leave into retirement. I started posting on the View MB back in 2008 and took a sabatical in 2012. My username comes from my love of SEC football... As some know, I have a passion for the law & have attended hundreds of trials just because!!! lol.. I also love politics, music, family and using this emoticon

Hi SEC!
It is really nice to see you & learn your background. I was banned from the old ABC Board for posting the address for a new board when there was a mass exodus a year or so ago. I couldn't post on The View MB but I could read. I really enjoyed reading your posts. I too like trials but have never attended one. I think it would be very interesting.

Anyway welcome! I am really looking forward to discussing the topics of the day with you. I have learned so much from all of you. Different points of view help me to understand an issue better. As long as people are polite, I think we all learn from each other.

Hello. Vantro here! Was on the vmb since 2008. Original name on that MB was atheist1972, but was banned so many times I had a myriad of names before vantro1972 stuck. I live in Ohio, own a pet hotel & painting business. Will discuss any subject & keep an open mind.

I am looking forward to posting with such a great group of ppl. A lot of great minds & kind hearts here.

I too like using emojis & look for a reason to use the odd ones like this, ! Hard to find an excuse to use an odd clown in the middle of a convo, but i will find a way to use it lol.

Well my man also owns the painting business, so I leave a lot of it to him. We do interior, exterior, design, stain, floors, power washing & artwork. I do almost all the art. We work with a flooring company a lot & are good friends with owner. I wanted to thank him for all the jobs he sent our way, so I painted Van Gogh's Starry Night on his living room ceiling. I did not care for it, a bit tacky, but he loves it!

NESunrise here and on the view mb-was on many abc boards with many names since Lost began Currently in New England, but I am a gypsy so I have been/lived many places. My favorite claim to fame is being part of the first family in NY to have adopted a rainbow coalition (this was many years ago Have worn many hats-currently a writer/editor. Oh also be forewarned, I type horribly as I do it fast and usually have the luxury of going back over it LOL

Hello everyone. I am retiredfa, always the same name, coming down from the All My Children board to the View board to the Refugee board. Never posted very much, but always read everything. As my name says, I am a retired flight attendant, after a long career. Also a lapsed hairdresser. And caretaker to the cutest dog on the planet.

Thanks guys! SEC, maybe we flew together, or at least passed each other in the terminal in our Party Pumps! Good times back in the day, which most of us will not own up to in our old age.

I flew for Delta & was based in Boston, Dallas, Miami and Atlanta.. Good times for sure!!
