How sweet!

Is Plan B going down the pooper asked the Virago who rarely if ever checks in here and says she could care less what we think.

Perhaps she should ask why a board that boasts of having over 80 registered users never has more than a baker's dozen of mostly old fart posters who seem to be getting off on a copycat wanabe who writes lame fairy tales that even children would find boring?

Anyone remember who started the idea of posting stories, albeit with an adult audience in mind?

Hmmn.....

Then there's the posting of cartoons, which Billy and others found repulsive but was soon copied but never surpassed by the "witch from next door".

Well they do say imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Oh, and then there's the copying and pasting which now seems to be OK.

I suppose when you're a Republican Obama/ Hillary hater and things are defintely not going your way (The GOP is in shambles) there's a reason to be testy.

Could it be because Obama is riding higher than ever and the leaders in Republican polls are a carnival barker, a snooze inducer and a failed CEO who doesn't have a chance in hell of becoming president?

I suppose when your only hobby/outlet/job/joy is posting on message boards and worrying about Obama's socialism and Hillary's lies and Ted Cruz's underappreciation and Trump's ratings, it is natural to worry about those people who have jobs and partners and kids and social lives outside of their 4 walls.

and this may be only me, but they are just talking to each other, you can't debate when you all have the same "VIEW of HATE" and it's sad because imo they can't see passed the "Hate" and with the all that is going on in the GOP they are happy not to talk about it

Yeah...fading memories of those posters. I will never forget the first time I went on that vmb and saw the racist remarks. I had never been part of a mb before. That was an eye opener. They seem stuck in their own rut.....time warped.

I wonder what the average age is on our board compared with the other board. Could it be a generational thing? I know that the average Fox Viewer is over 65.

I'm 40, btw. I will be 41 in 10 days. (at least that's the plan )

I am 55 but young at heart!

I do find that older (white) people do fall for the hate & fear tactics used by Fox.

My Dad was such a well-rounded, well-read, open-minded guy until he started watching Fox News. For the last 15 years or so he's been in the bubble. But a strange thing has been happening during the last few months.

It started with the Planned Parenthood thing, because my Dad has always been pro-choice. We discussed the videos and he was in agreement with me that they were bologna. Then Carly spoke about PP at the debate, and he just couldn't deny that what she was doing was outright lying. I could tell that bothered him.

He had his hopes set on Carson. Then Carson started talking and we discovered he is Brainman and should be counting toothpicks somewhere.

I've noticed over the last few weeks he's starting to question Fox's slant on issues. It is giving me the smallest sliver of hope!!!

I am 53. I do think age as something do with it but I also think where a person lives can have someting to do with it. For example Texans tend to be very paranoid and they buy into all the fear mongering done by the far right.

I know quite a few people who live in Texas and they are nothing like what you described Need. I think States and the people that live there tend to get stereotyped quite a bit.

I am not saying everyone in Texas buys into the right wing fear mongering but there are many who do. It seems to be more prevalent in Texas than in other state. Now I will say that my perspective comes from social media for the most part. Those most ardent Obama opposers at the Refugee board who are bound and determined that Obama is out to destroy this country are in Texas. Last summer there was a large military exercise that spanned multiple states. In Texas they were freaked out thinking it was Obama setting up to take over Texas. They actually had armed citizens out patroling on jeeps keeping an eye out on our military. This did not happen in any of the other states that took part in the excercise. No one else was freaked out about it besides Texans. It was crazy. Texans seem to be especially fearful of Obama and his intentions. I do know it isn't all of them though.
