Tamir Rice

Activists and others had filed affidavits in Cleveland Municipal Court this week seeking charges against Cleveland police officers Timothy Loehmann and Frank Garmback for Rice’s death.Ronald B. Adrine, a Cleveland municipal judge, wrote in an administrative order released Thursday that in his opinion Loehmann should be charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter and reckless homicide. He also wrote that Garmback should be charged with negligent homicide.

The ProsecutorTimothy Mc Ginty says he will take the case to the Grand Jury and let them decise whether to charge officers!

So Judges opinions mean nothing and when exactly does he plan on doing that ! this happened in 2014! What a farce! Despicable!

Re: Tamir Rice

The city has been dragging their feet on this because they know these officers killed a boy for no reason. This came on the heels of the Brelo case & other police brutality reports & they are being very careful in trying not to admit that Cleveland police have major issues, from the officers to desk clerks, but the biggest failures are the leaders. Leaders such as Loomis are not going to admit failures, because he wants to keep his job. He just blames the victims.

Re: Tamir Rice

This case just keeps getting worse. Now the prosecutor is under fire after releasing 2 reports which support the officer's actions on that horrific day. The reports state their actions were reasonable. A judge, among many others disagree with the reports. I definitely disagree.

This is the most disgusting thing ever. WE ALL SAW the shooting with out own eyes and the overwhelming majority of us think this was horrific and in no way justified. They rushed up in their cars and shot him before he could even begin to comply. I hope this case really resonates and that everyone who saw that video speaks out against this attempted whitewash.

This might be the case that finally helps Cleveland make some changes.

Re: Tamir Rice

I hope so shiny, but Cleveland has seen this before & nothing ever gets done. However this time ppl aren't going to roll over & accept whatever they say. This is wrong on so many levels & lots of heads need to roll on this one, especially leaders. BTW if everything was done correctly & reasonably as the reports state then why was the police dispatcher fired? I swear they think we are stupid!

I understand your frustration but I really think this time is different. This might have flown even five years ago, but I don't think anyone is going to shake their heads and let this one pass. I would join a protest about this. Ohio isn't that far away from me!

Re: Tamir Rice

I protested early this year. I saw with my own eyes that some bystanders were trying to provoke the protesters into fighting. It's crazy!!!

Re: Tamir Rice

Two men decided it was reasonable???? I think its leading the way for the prosecutor not to go to the grand jury and even if they do ,hes going to walk! Has their been any outcry and protests of this latest! My prayers go out to this poor Mother and family of this innocent child gunned done by a cop who had no buisness on the force in the first place! Please keep us updated Vantro! This child should not be disposable!

Re: Tamir Rice

The prosecutor has already messed this up so much. A whole year and no answers? WHY? And why did he hire two people to give their opinions? This should have been before a grand jury months ago!
