Guns don't kill people, first graders kill people.
A Chicago father who bought a gun to protect his family from former street gang associates is facing charges after one of his boys accidentally killed the other with the weapon.
Michael Santiago, 25, was charged with felony child endangerment after the shooting Saturday in which his 6-year-old accidentally shot his 3-year-old during a game of "cops and robbers."
The loaded gun had been wrapped in a pair of pajama pants and stashed on top of the refrigerator, Chicago police said.
It's about time the police started laying charges like this. Long overdue.

Totally agree Shiny. Gun owners need to held responsible when their gun gets into the "wrong hands" and are used in a crime. Everytime I hear of a mass shooting that is my first question, "where did they get the guns"?

Early reports are that the father is a known gang member and the gun was purchased illegally. More information that you won't hear on Fox News.
The guy wrapped a loaded gun in some pajama pants and put it on top of his fridge.
He is facing up to 10 years in prison. I hope they throw the book at him. Maybe, just maybe it will make a few mouth breathing NRA fanatics think twice about where their guns are today.

So sad...that these senseless shootings keep happening....and blaming those with a mental condition isn't always the case.
I hope they thrown away the key!!

This country has the worst gun policies. These shootings do not occur like this in other countries. What does it take to get the laws straightened out?

It takes politicians standing up to the NRA, and so far only one party is doing that. The GOP wants to keep the cash flowing in and pretend the problem doesn't exist.

Exactly Shiney. It is going to take both houses taking the majority and democratic president to finally get some gun safety laws on the books. That is what will disenfranchise the NRA.
