Dressing pets up for Halloween

Do you have costumes for your fids? I never did until Redfoo & Tuggernuts. Tuggy loves wearing things! It all started when he got his first collar. I got him excited to wear it by making a big deal out of it. I pretended it was something special & refused to give it to him. The more I resisted the more he wanted it. I told him it was his jewelry, so now whenever we go out I tell them to get their jewelry, because they can't be seen in public unless they have their bling on. Tug immediately retrieves his collars & leashes. Well now he gets excited about wearing things, even costumes! Redfoo just wants to do whatever Tugg does, so he gets just as excited. My other pets are so not interested in all of this, but these 2 are like kids! After seeing how excited they are I was thinking of maybe having a doggy trick or treat next year. I would never be able to pull it off this year, but I think I can plan it over this next.

Aw, I love it! Is Tugg the Dogo? I remember one of them just ignored Redfoo no matter what he did. Sounds like Redfoo loves his big brother! So cute.

What are you going to dress them up as? I always do something with my boxer because he'll let me put anything on him as long as he's going outside with me. This year we have our little Frenchie so I'll have to find something for her. We should have a pet halloween parade here.

No, Sgt. Osiris Lincoln Tuggernuts is my rott/Jack Russel mix. Slightly bigger than Redfoo. My dogo isn't into being a clown. She just wants my attention & screw everyone & everything else. She is quiet & very laid back.

Re: Dressing pets up for Halloween

My larger dog doesn't like to wear things other than collars but I ordered a bunny costume for my new puppy. I'll show you pics of her in it when it gets here.

Re: Dressing pets up for Halloween

Wow!! these halloween costumes are amazing!  Your dogs would win any contest hands down!

The only dog I have is my sons' dog (you know the swimmer)...and I'll try to see if I can buy a costume for her....I wonder if she'll keep it on....

Even though the pool is closed now, whenever she passes it to go into the yard....she looks at it wanting to go in again. The dog is nuts!....lol

@ JD...the girls are probably looking forward to going trick or treating....did you make their costumes?

Re: Dressing pets up for Halloween

They are looking forward to it. I didn't make their costumes this year. A wants to go as a lighthouse (no idea why but that is her fifth idea in the past two weeks so we will see how long that last). H wants to go as a unicorn... Well now specifically a rainbow unicorn because she saw one in Target.

Re: Dressing pets up for Halloween

That "lion" looks like he has an attitude in that costume, very "King of the jungle."  These pics are priceless, maybe someday I'll learn how to post some myself.  Most of our "pets" are the critters that follow us around our yard, we have several young chipmunks that are always under foot, also a huge mouse (no he's not a rat), almost looks like he was someone's pet instead of a wild one, he's everywhere I am.  My son lives next door and kind of wants them gone, I looked over the other day and the mouse hopped right passed him without him knowing it, I really don't want to re-locate him to another yard, (the mouse, not my son). Sounds a little nuts, instead of cats I've got critters running around my yard.  Your dog babies are so cute!

Re: Dressing pets up for Halloween

These aren't my dog, but the costumes I am thinking of getting them this year. Redfoo is the same color as the dog in the pic & I think he would look adorable as a tiny lion!

Teluog I love that you have a "relationship" with the wild critters in your yard!!! I welcome all in my yard. I don't kill anything, so I got a few have-a-heart traps to catch the mice. I then release them in the woods far far away from homes! Field mice are so friggin' cute!

Re: Dressing pets up for Halloween

Animals are the greatest comedians on earth, they give you such joy just watching them.  I hate to re-locate the mouse, he's been around for at least four or five years, I think he would miss the area, I don't feed him because I don't want him to be dependent on me, when I water things he's always around for a drink. I walk a fine line, keeping them safe but trying to keep them from getting inside our shed and doing damage.  The grandkids love them around.  Looking forward to future pics of your dogs.

Re: Dressing pets up for Halloween

My Molly HATES wearing anything including her winter coat.
We are going to a Halloween doggy party this year and she is going as a Patriots cheerleader.

My Molly HATES wearing anything including her winter coat.
We are going to a Halloween doggy party this year and she is going as a Patriots cheerleader.

For some odd reason my image is not posting. Trust me, Molly looks spectacular!!

Aw, I couldn't see her until I opened the reply box but I can see her here! So cute! She's a cheerleader!

Found this picture online today and it cracked me up. Now here's a costume that I might actually be able to make!

LOL!! I think I could make this one too, for my sons' dog...but I don't know if she would stand still long enough to take a picture, or to go trick or treating in.

I still have to pull her away from the edge of the "closed" up pool because she looks like she wants to dive in...lol
