There's a meetin' this Sunday to discuss what to do about Jeb¿'s faltering campaign.
Wouldn't you love to be a fly in the teepee?
I can just hear Mama Bush:
"I told you enough Bushes. What were you thinking? Huh? That's the problem, you don't think. No one thinks in this family, except me. Look at your father, jumpin' out of a plane at his age and in his condition."
Papa Bush: "That's right and I'll do it again on my next birthday."
Mama: "Over my dead body.."
Papa: "We'll see about that, you're not the boss..."
GW: "Dang you two, enough with the squablin'. There's rumors on the internets that we're runnin' out of money.
They're makin' jokes about Jeb's favorite superhero bein' a woman. This campaign's goin' down the toilet with the bath water and all you want to do is bicker amongst themselves?
Laura enters quietly.
GW:" And where were you?"
Mama B: "Probably around the back chain smoking".
Laura: "There you go again. I was not smoking...."
Mama B: "Then what's that I smell? It certainly isn't Bar-B-Que".
(To be continued...)

National Review:
[quote888]Laura occasionally sneaks a cigarette with friends. In 1994 and 1995, she totally quit a lifelong smoking habit. When asked by the media, she would honestly say that it was "difficult" to quit. But after 1995, Laura went back to bumming cigarettes from friends, though never in front of George or her staff. At the White House, she might step outside on the Truman Balcony to take a few puffs. At the ranch, she might occasionally light up on the porch.
"She is a stress smoker," said her friend Anne Stewart. "She still bums a cigarette."
"If she is sitting around with some friends and they are smoking, she may smoke," longtime Bush friend Dr. Charles Younger, an orthopedic surgeon, said. "She wouldn't tell you she never does it, but it's not an image she would like to promote as a healthy habit from the First Lady who is supposed to be perfect."[/quote888]

Well, if The National Review says it, than it must be true. Particularly since one of their major contributors is Ann Coulter [/quote888]

It was well known in Austin, when George was running for president, that Laura was an occasional smoker

I agree.
As reformed smokers Burgo and I can still buy a pack of cigarettes, smoke them over a weekend and forget about them come Monday.
I still think smoking should be allowed in bars, but not where people are eating.

I quoted the National review because it's a conservative organ.
I really could care less (sic) if Laura smokes or not.[/quote888]
