Rubio's Fantastic But False Story About His Grandfather: Senator Rubio gave an emotional address about his grandfather supposedly fleeing Castro to come to the United States. There's just one problem: the story doesn't stand up to scrutiny. As has been reported in the past, Rubio's family came to the United States long before Castro ever came to power.

[quote888]Carly Fiorina acknowledged Sunday that one of the facts she used to criticize President Obama during the third GOP presidential debate last week was misleading, after fact-checkers called her out. “In this particular case, the fact-checkers are correct,” Fiorina said on ABC’s “This Week.” Fiorina had said that 92% of the jobs lost during Obama’s first term were held by women.[/quote888]

From Meet the Press, March 16 2003
Vice President Cheney: Now, I think things have gotten so bad inside Iraq, from the standpoint of the Iraqi people, my belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators. And the president's made it very clear that our purpose there is, if we are forced to do this, will in fact be to stand up a government that's representative of the Iraqi people, hopefully democratic due respect for human rights, and it, obviously, involves a major commitment by the United States, but we think it's a commitment worth making. And we don't have the option anymore of simply laying back and hoping that events in Iraq will not constitute a threat to the U.S. Clearly, 12 years after the Gulf War, we're back in a situation where he does constitute a threat.
Mr. Russert: If your analysis is not correct, and we're not treated as liberators, but as conquerors, and the Iraqis begin to resist, particularly in Baghdad, do you think the American people are prepared for a long, costly, and bloody battle with significant American casualties?
Vice President Cheney: Well, I don't think it's likely to unfold that way, Tim, because I really do believe that we will be greeted as liberators. I've talked with a lot of Iraqis in the last several months myself, had them to the White House. The president and I have met with them, various groups and individuals, people who have devoted their lives from the outside to trying to change things inside Iraq. And like Kanan Makiya who's a professor at Brandeis, but an Iraqi, he's written great books about the subject, knows the country intimately, and is a part of the democratic opposition and resistance. The read we get on the people of Iraq is there is no question but what they want to the get rid of Saddam Hussein and they will welcome as liberators the United States when we come to do that.

.. over at Meet the Press, NBC’s longtime top diplomatic correspondent, Andrea Mitchell, was bashing another panel Republican, Mike Pompeo of Kansas, for charging that Clinton had “relied on Mr. Blumenthal for most of her intelligence” on Libya.“That is factually not correct,” Mitchell told Pompeo.“No, it is absolutely factually correct,” Pompeo responded.Mitchell: “Relied on Mr. Blumenthal for most of her intelligence?... I cover the State Department. That is just factually not correct and I've been as tough on this issue as anyone.” The State Department has its own intelligence arm, and also receives classified reports from the CIA and Pentagon intelligence agencies.

Donald Trump lied that vaccines have caused an autism epidemic. No evidence of a link exists, let alone an epidemic. The Global Burden of Disease Study determined, in fact, that no clear evidence of any change in autism numbers exists between 1990 and 2010.

Ted Cruz lied that Iran, under the deal, would conduct self-inspections of nuclear facilities and give no access to certain military facilities. CNN said it’s just not true. Iran’s nuclear facilities will be continuously monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency and military facilities will not be off-limits.
