Has anyone else watched this show on PBS..."I'll Have What Phil's Having." It's on Sunday night 10 pm central time, and then again on Monday night 9 pm central time. Be sure to check (time) listings where you live. About the show... Host Phil Rosenthal is on a culinary adventure in search of the best food from around the world. I love this show, and Phil is quite the comedian himself. I love to watch the look on his face after you see him take that first bite of food, or while he's sipping a particular beverage. It's priceless!
For those who don't know Phil Rosenthal, he is also the creator, writer, and executive producer of the hit tv show Everybody Loves Raymond. Phi's wife Monica Horan, also starred on the show as Amy McDougal-Barone.
Below I have posted the following links to the episodes which have already been shown, and for anyone who'd like to view them.
Phil relives his most memorable moments in taste as he roams the Tuscan countryside, visits with friends old and new, and searches for the country's best gelato. (Phil's wife, Monica Horan, and his son and daughter are also featured much later in this episode.)
Phil dines on the city's best dim sum, gets a lesson in the art of tai chi, and bravely tries a century old egg.
Phil is on an adventure to Paris, where Phil gets his hot chocolate fix, learns the French lawn game Pétanque, and goes in search of the best roast chicken in the city.
Phil travels to Barcelona in search of the best tapas, to celebrate the Sant Joan festival, and to get a lesson in the art of slicing jamon, one of Spain's most prized culinary exports.
Phil steps out of his comfort zone and dives into exotic dishes with Japanese television star and fellow comedian Dave Spector, including barbecue eel and some of the hottest ramen in Japan.
Catch a sneak peek of next weeks episode, which premiers Nov 2 at 10/9 pm Central, where Phil explores the culinary gems of his own backyard, inviting friends including Martin Short, Allison Janney, Ray Romano, and Paul Ryser to dine with him at his favorite food spots around town.

Goddess, this is one of my favorite shows! Absolutely love him and his passion for food! He is like a kid in a candy store who cannot hide his excitement...it's a fabulous show for any serious foodie or lover of food. I've been to a few of the places he has visited and it was great to see them again, especially behinds the scenes. The docu style cooking shows are very much in style and are refreshing and informative. I also very much like A Chef's Life and The Mind of a Chef...have you seen them??

This sounds like a great show. I'll have to check it out.
Does anyone watch Anthony Bourdain's show?
I used to like him, but he's gotten very arrogant and has a case on himself.

I've seen it advertised but haven't watched it, doesn't he eat some questionable things? All the food Phil ate on the show I watched looked really tasty. I looked down on my plate once and a small worm was looking back at me, I've been wary ever since.

I thought I was the only one who finds AB arrogant. I can not watch his show for that very reason.

I can't stand "Tony"- no one thinks higher of himself which is unfortunate because he goes to cool places but he is unwatchable IMO

I just watched the show last nite for the first time. Norman Lear and another comedian were on. Loved it so will add to my pvr list now.
