Well, one of the side effects of doing that is having your own flaws thrust into the spotlight. Has nothing to do with liking or disliking anyone. 

 
Lol I am not bothered by anything, but you seem to be bothered by everything. You are taking this MB & dolly way too serious imo., but that's just me. I think we are pretty clear how offended you are about the "fat slob" comment, so you can probably stop bringing it up in every thread you post in, which just so happen to mostly be dolly's. But if that is all you want to talk about then that's fine. I probably won't engage. Perhaps we can have a convo outside the Cuckoo's nest?

Many weeks ago, I started a thread about Carly Fiorina, which included images of the many different "looks" she has had over the years, including one of her with a very short hair style, and the caption: "Carly, after a bout with head lice".

I was immediately pounced on by the VSB with accusations that I was making fun of a woman who is a cancer survivor.

 We've all heard the expression " when you assume you make an ass out of you and me", which applies in this case.

Why would I ,or anyone for that matter, be expected to know the personal medical history of someone who was unknown to them until she decided to run for president?

Who would anyone make fun of a cancer victim???

Interesting aside: Remember when Hillary was scheduled for the first Benghazi hearing and she fell which caused a concussion?
The haters accused her of faking her illness to avoid testifying. Remember all the jokes about her "special glasses"?

Bottom line, the accusations that I intentionally and with malice aforethought meant to joke about Carly's cancer was an out right lie.

Now to the Betty Ford incident.

My post about the VSB and Betty Ford was meant to give them a taste of their own medicine; a quid pro quo if you will.

Since they assumed I knew all about Carly's medical history. I assumed they knew about Betty Ford's alcoholism.*

Why, on a thread about drinking (pretend or otherwise) where posters are constantly joking about drinking, would someone mention a cocktail named after a very well known First Lady (knowing that she was an alcoholic) who dealt with her addiction in a brave and very public way?

Was it a sly way to remind people of Mrs. Ford's addiction?
(That would be mean.)

Didn't they know Betty was an alcoholic?
(How could anyone not know that?)

Was it meant as a joke?
(Alcoholism is funny?)

Or, could it possibly be there was no intention to do any of those things?

None of us can know for sure, can we?

*PS: I did not say "they named an alcoholic beverage after her (Betty Ford".. That would be a lie.
The cocktail was named for her long before she quit drinking.

I feel a responsibility to report that Julie is not pleased with the treatment she has received from some of her fellow cuckoos.

I find it necessary as well as my duty (since it was me who riled her up) to remind those on that board as well as here, that Julie has been known to "go off the beam" so to speak when she feels under appreciated.

Remember, she has gone on record as saying "I have a gun and I'm not afraid to use it".
