Ben Carson Advisers: Ben doesn't know anything about the Middle East

Yes kids, the closest advisers to the GOP's second choice for POTUS admit he is clueless on foreign policy.

His aides and allies are once again struggling to defend him, after a lackluster appearance with Chris Wallace on Sunday, that left many wondering if he has any grasp on foreign policy at all.

Carson struggled to articulate specifics for his plan to defeat ISIL during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.” Host Chris Wallace asked the retired neurosurgeon three times to to name one specific country or leader he would call to assemble an international coalition to no avail.

“I don't know, he’s been briefed on it so many times,” Armstrong Williams, close friend and advisor to Carson told the New York Times today. “I guess he just froze.” In an attempt to defend his friend, Armstrong said that he had spoken to Carson since his Fox News fumble, but bizarrely painted the candidate as even more inept than previously thought possible. “Sometimes he overthinks things,” Armstrong said, “I could tell, talking to him, it was a bummer for him.”

A bummer indeed.

Another Carson aide told the paper that he suggested to the campaign that the candidate get weekly briefings to boost his foreign policy chops pronto. “Nobody has been able to sit down with him and have him get one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East,” Duane R. Clarridge, a former C.I.A. agent and top adviser to Carson on terrorism and national security, said in an interview with the
Times.

Pardoned for his role in the Iran Contra affair, the former head of the CIA’s Latin division said he recently called Williams to complain. “We need to have a conference call once a week where his guys roll out the subjects they think will be out there, and we can make him smart.”

Re: Ben Carson Advisers: Ben doesn't know anything about the Middle East

“Dr Carson learns. He learns from 13 to 14 different people,” the adviser, Armstrong Williams, told Bloomberg TV on Tuesday. “Dr Carson is on a learning curve. There’s much for him to learn. He’s not perfect. He’ll never be perfect.”

Vote for Ben!

Maybe that huge cavity in his brain can be used for grain storage. I wish he'd just drop out already.

His intelligence sources say he doesn't grasp anything they try to spoon feed him.

In other words when it comes to the Middle East and foreign policy, he's dumber than dirt and about as exciting.

Spew Alert!

Retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson on Tuesday expressed his support for a growing contingent of governors who are against allowing Syrian refugees into the United States — but he shared an incorrect graphic of the lower 48 states in the process.

Carson's campaign shared the botched map, which transposed much of New England above New Hampshire.

"I am standing with the 31 Governors who are fighting to keep our nation safe," the Facebook post, which has since been deleted, read. "We do not currently have the means to adequately vet the thousands of refugees that the Obama Administration wants to bring into the United States."

Interesting tidbit:
Ben Carson's elderly adviser Dawayne Clarridge has quite a resume.

Along with tons of other sinister shenanigans, Clarridge was behind the mining of Nicaraguan harbors, for which the U.S. was convicted in the Hague, and was given a pardon by GHW Bush before he could be tried for 7 counts of perjury related to Iran-Contra.

Carson Announces Detailed Plan to Google Syria

DES MOINES (The Borowitz Report)—In a major foreign-policy announcement on Wednesday, the Republican Presidential candidate Ben Carson unveiled a detailed plan to Google Syria.

Speaking in Iowa, the retired neurosurgeon told an audience of supporters, “Any responsible policy on Syria must begin with a fact-finding mission, and such a mission must begin with Googling.”

He said that “Google holds the key” to many questions about Syria. “Where is it? Who lives there? How many square miles is it? These are all things that have to be pinned down,” he said.

Carson, who leads several Republican Presidential polls, said that while his search for answers would start with Google, he would “not rule out” seeking information at Wikipedia and beyond. “No Web site should be taken off the table at this time,” he said.

In closing, he said that he had “no plans” to Google Egypt, since he was already extremely well versed in that nation’s history.
