JESUS WOULD FIGHT FOR OUR SECOND AMENDMENT
"Shoot, even the Lord said to take up arms and defend yourself and protect the innocent! We’re expected to take responsibility to defend ourselves and to protect the innocent, certainly not relying on fallible leaders to do it for us."
"Don’t believe me? Look it up! Luke 22:36. I wrote about it in #sweetfreedom, my new book coming out just in time for the Holidays"
He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”
Hmmmm, that’s not about guns.
From the King James version:
"Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."
Next time an intruder comes to your door attack him with a bag or your purse.... or your sword, but no guns please.

I've been waiting patiently to hear someone use Bible scripture to defend this. At least she made an attempt, but all it really does is underscore the fact that this is not what Jesus would do.
So-called Christians have turned their backs on the teachings of the Bible in order to protect themselves from harm. Complete opposite of what Jesus taught.
From now on whenever I hear anyone on the right use a religious argument for anything, I will point out which side they are on when the chips are down.
If I believed in God I'd be asking for him to send Jesus among the refugees and see what happens to the people who turn him away.

Sarah says she's OK with "the dope".
How appropriate.
She can't understand why Americans would get all wee weed up over Mary Jane.
The author of a new book "Sweet Freedom: Delusional" says she smoked dope but inlike President Clinton she can't say she didn't inhale.
She insisted however, that she never snorted cocaine off a 55 gallon oil drum.

Spew Alert
“In the New Testament, Luke:22. We’re talking about gun control.
Jesus, I swear he was a proponent of open carry. Because he told his disciples, he said ‘You better arm yourselves. You better protect the innocent. You don’t rely on the authorities. You don’t rely on others peoples.’
He said ‘You carry your sword.’ He told his disciples ‘Before we go on our journey, if you have a cloak, if you have your purse, OK, go get ’em. But if you don’t have a sword with you…’ – which was their arms back then – ‘…then you sell your cloak and you go buy a sword. And you get out there and you defend the innocent and yourself. Let’s go.’
He was all for self-defense and the Second Amendment.”
Really? Then why did he tell his disciples to cease any defense of him, saying that “all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.”
What’s more, nowhere in the verse does it say that Jesus advocated using swords, or any weaponry, to “defend the innocent and yourself.” To the contrary, he preached against violence and favored passive resistance as in “turn the other cheek.”

This crap gets so absurd. The religious right is seriously grasping at straws. I am an atheist & I know Jesus prefers for us to turn the other cheek & to treat thy neighbor like thyself. I have no idea if there are any real Christians in politics. They all seem angery & daft to me.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Hmmm no mention of guns!
