Amazing how they ignore the bigger terror threat, which is domestic terrorism from right wing fringe nuts.

Carly has blood on her hands as far as I'm concerned. Her silence is deafening. This dangerous rhetoric from the right is starting to show results and its terrifying. There will be much more of this with a Trump presidency.

The language that Republicans have employed against Planned Parenthood over the last several weeks has been appalling. They have falsely accused the organization of being at the center of an illicit industry focused on increasing the number of abortion procedures in order to profit from the sale of "baby parts".

The fact that they refuse to take responsibility for fanning the flames of hatred with their rhetoric is not surprising, but I cannot believe that they are actually doubling down on it and making it worse.

Examples:


Carly Fiorina: This woman had 48 hours to think about this. 48 hours to think about how her lies (and by all official accounts they are lies) have had serious consequences in the real world. And yet all she could drum up is about how she is the victim here for being villified. She said it was "left wing" to link the hate rhetoric and lies about PP with the shooting.

She even said "Planned Parenthood admitted they would stop taking compensation for aborted fetuses so that is kind of an admission of guilt right there." Casually leaving out the fact that the "compensation" was just to recoup the cost of transportation, and they stopped because that was being turned into them profiting off of dead babies. This guy went reportedly in to a Planned Parenthood and said "no more baby parts" and at no point in 48 hours did she think that maybe, just maybe, she could dial back the rhetoric and lies. And instead she turned it into HER being the victim. A true sociopath if Ive ever seen one.

Cruz - Floated the idea that the killer is a "transgendered leftist". This he somehow deduced from a typo on the voter registration records which lists him as female.

Cruz also denounced the attack, right after accepting a huge donation and endorsement from a guy who is a militant anti-choice activist with a criminal history for violence.

Huckabee - doubled down on the lie about baby parts being sold, which indicates that he's missed the point entirely and has no concern about dangerous rhetoric. But he sold his soul long ago so I would not have expected anything else from him.

Even if that language did not directly lead to the violence that was recently perpetrated against Planned Parenthood, it is only a matter of time before this language does directly inspire such violence. This is the type of language that fascist dictatorships use to foment violent action against their political enemies. Worse still, most of the Republicans employing this language lack the conviction of their words and are merely attacking Planned Parenthood in order to further their political careers.
 

I am just so disgusted by the right ATM. More so than usual. This was caused by their lies & rhetoric. It is time for everyone to be challenged on their rhetoric, because it is clearly a threat to ppl's lives. No more ignoring, no more dumbfounded remarks, no more laughing or joking about the extreme rights words & actions. They must be held to a standard, especially those running g to lead this country!

ITA Vantro. Not only is the rhetoric out of control but the GOP has been allowed to act on the lies about PP, and this has all fueled the anger on both sides. It started with the edited tape, then Carly's "BODY PARTS" lie reached millions on the night of the debate. Then some states actually started DEFUNDING PP based on the lies. OUT OF CONTROL!!!

With Trump at the forefront, his nasty language, insults and lies are just going basically unchallenged.

Cruz, Trump, Fiorina, Huckabee...they all represent a real danger in that they can incite those on the fringe who are already in the Fox Bubble...angry, scared, afraid of change. This is a recipe for right wing terrorism.

After Carly used the words "body parts", and the killer allegedly used the same exact words, she was able to go on tv with a straight face and say anyone who tried to draw a connection between these two facts was part of a "left wing strategy".

As you said Vantro, it's time for the people to say that they won't stand for lies, disrespect, and inflammatory rhetoric which is meant only to mislead and to anger the base.

No more posting incorrect and racially inflammatory statistics on Twitter then not own it.

No more saying that maybe a terrorist has a "legitimate beef" with the people he is slaughtering.

No more claiming that PP was doing anything illegal or making any profit on fetal parts.

No more telling the poor that they just need to pull up their bootstraps and stop asking for handouts.

No more saying that you can ignore the laws of the land if the Bible (and only the Bible, btw) says otherwise.

No more calling Mexicans mostly rapists and killers.

No more questioning people's religions if they are law abiding people.  It is none of your business.

No more calling homosexuals abberations who tear at the fabric of society, and allowing them to be treated like second class citizens.

No more pretending to denounce attacks against PP while taking major endorsements from people who committed violent crimes against women....without getting called out.

No more standing on stage in support of a person who endorses killing homosexuals. FFS!

No more threatening to send 11 million people back to horrible conditions. No more threatening to revoke birthright citizenship. 

No more calling the sitting POTUS a communist, Muslim, Kenyan, socialist, or outright saying he is trying to "tear down the country".

I could go on for pages. But it's got to stop, and it's clearly only coming from one side. I think this election is going to be a huge and historic turning point for America.

All one has to do is look at the statistics to know who is doing what in this country. Our biggest threat are ppl like Dear. We have misplaced fear in Muslims, Mexicans & black ppl. By far white, male , Christians are the biggest terrorist threat in this country. I have been keeping tabs on hate groups. Christian extremists such as the KKK & neo nazi have grown by leaps & bounds to over 400% since 2000. No other group has grown at that rate, not even close. Heck a few of our Republican candidates have decided to speak at an event hosted by a person listed in the SPLC & no one blinked an eye. There have been 48 abortion clinic bombing since the 1970's. Anyone want to guess who did the bombings? 186 arson against clinics. 17 attempted murders & 8 actual lives lost to the white, christian extremists. Anyone riding the terrorism band wagon is absolutely delusional to think Islam  or blacks are our biggest fear/threat or they have FOS syndrome, which I think is more likely. Again, we must stand up to the disinformation & lies being perpetuated by the right. No longer allow them to break the rules or to change them to benefit themselves while throwing the rest of the country to the wolves. Enough! I am do allowing them to kidnap the narrative to use it against us!
